Wind, Rain & Blue Fingers | Peak Distict

I am just gushing over this anniversary shoot from last weekend! It was FREEZING cold (this is starting to see a bit of a theme to our couple sessions at the moment!) but the weather did take a slight turn for the worst when these two pulled into the carpark - the wind started to pick up and the rain began to fall - the gentle sort of rain that gets you completely soaked!

Luckily we knew the exact location we wanted to take Esther and Mat which was only a few minutes walk from the car so we could get started straight away with every sort of pose that involved lots of movement to make sure they weren’t stood around getting super cold for too long - walking, running, spinning we had them all in literally the first few minutes of the shoot just to try keep everyone warm.

The rain and wind did start to ease off allowing us to get some more intimate shots and loads and loads of cuddling. Luckily these two just laughed through the wind, rain and freezing temperatures and made this adventure session super romantic despite the weather!

And although they finished the shoot with blue fingers, not being able to feel their toes and in desperate need of a hot chocolate. I was slightly expecting an email saying they never want to go outside in January ever again but this is what they came back with:

“Oh my goodness!!! I just got so excited to see this. I can’t believe how amazing that has turned out!! You are SO talented. Thank you so much for the kind words. You were seriously the best at putting us at ease etc, and it was lovely to meet you both. THANK YOU!

Myself and my husband had some anniversary photos taken with ‘The Light Painters Photography’ and we cannot praise Hannah and Dave enough for their friendliness and professionalism throughout the whole process!

Right from our first enquiry, Hannah was so efficient about getting back to us and designing a shoot to suit our needs. She was so accommodating and made the entire process so simple.

On the day of the shoot, both Hannah and Dave made us feel so at ease - and were AMAZING at coming up with fun, creative picture ideas that made us feel comfortable.

The day of our shoot was quite overcast/cold/a bit rainy and so we wondered how the pictures would turn out - but we had nothing to worry about! Our pictures were BEAUTIFUL, the colours were amazing, and Hannah really captured our relationship.

Hannah was so efficient after the shoot as well - giving us a sneak peak of our pictures the week after!

We would 100% recommend The Light Painters - you won’t be disappointed!!”
